Stylist and muse Kwena Baloyi is style goals on any given day. And the rest of the world agrees.

From dominating the street style at Milan’s prestigious Pitti Uomo wearing head-to-toe Marianne Fassler,

to front row at SAFW wearing StyleBySA, she’s our go-to for what to wear next week.

Describe your approach to styling

“I’m all about the layering. I always layer up to create an interesting look out of ordinary pieces.

Surprise the pieces, because they never thought they could work together.

It is Fashion Week, after all! This satin slip dress is a key SS17

piece that’s super versatile when layered for an eclectic look.”

What’s your Fashion Week style mantra?

We dress up everyday, but come Fashion Week, we tighten it up even more.

Those are the days you can really show off and try out new styling.

It's basically like taking a lesson in styling for free!”

What’s your go-to piece this season at SAFW?

A blazer - I appreciate versatile pieces. Colour makes me so happy and it’s the ultimate

way to make a statement. Go bright or go home is my philosophy!

A ladylike skirt and heels balance out the off-shoulder styling.”

Which show are you most looking forward to seeing?

“Rich Mnisi - he's what we've been waiting for. I appreciate that

he accommodates everyone and that his designs are unisex.

He gets the market, he gets the culture, and I can't wait to see

what he's got for us this season.”
