There are few spirits with quite the same cultural currency as Clase Azul Reposado, packaged in a now-iconic handcrafted ceramic 'decanter', decorated with cobalt blue brushstrokes. Yes, it’s that tequila - something between a drink and a design object that’s become shorthand for a certain kind of glamorous excess, and yet the bottle is a nod to the Mexican artisanship at the brand’s core, as the liquid more than holds its own. Inside, expect cooked agave, vanilla and warming spice with a silky finish. Beautiful to look at, but considerably more rewarding to open. Best sipped slowly, preferably from a proper glass and not while someone is trying to turn it into an Insta moment.

HOW TO USE

• Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube in a snifter glass. If pairing it with food, it pairs exceptionally well with bittersweet chocolate mousse, rich pork dishes, and aged cheeses.
