Kalanchoe has shine foliage on firm stalks. One of the reasons for the plant's popularity is its long bloom time. The waxy blossoms can last for weeks or months. The flowers grow upright in large clusters that are held a little above the deep green leaves with scalloped edges and colourful flowers. This sun-loving plant can grow up to to 18 inches tall and wide. It requires little water, making it a good addition to rock gardens.
