This Trinchado sauce is a rich and flavourful Portuguese-inspired sauce, expertly blended with spicy notes, robust garlic and subtle hints of wine. Its bold, savoury profile makes it the perfect accompaniment to steak, chicken or vegetables, adding depth, warmth and authentic Mediterranean-inspired flavour to every meal.

HOW TO USE

• INGREDIENTS
  • 180 g Trinchado sauce
  • 450 g cubed sirloin
  • 2 rustic buns
  • 1 x Portuguese bread roll, for dipping
• METHOD
  • Place the cubed beef in 180 g Trinchado sauce in a bowl, refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove the meat from the sauce and do not discard the sauce.
  • Melt the butter in a large saucepan on medium-high heat, add the beef and brown.
    Add the sauce, simmer with lid on for approximately 10 - 15 minutes until beef is cooked.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve with fresh Portuguese bread rolls or fries on the side.
