This Pepino Melon tree is a small, evergreen shrub bearing purple flowers followed by deliciously sweet, smooth, oval shaped fruit. The skin of the fruit turns light creamy-yellow with purple stripes when fully ripe.

HOW TO CARE FOR IT

• Plant tolerates light frost
• Best grown in full sun, but tolerates a little bit of shade as well
• Likes rich, composted soils that are well drained
• Feed monthly with pelletized manure
• Keep them moist during the growing season
• Cut the plant back in early spring to promote new growth
