Sweet quinoa cooked in almond milk

Ingredients

  • 500 ml almond drink
  • 170 g quinoa
  • 60 ml brown or treacle sugar
  • 1 x 2 cm cinnamon sticks
  • 1 poached pear, to serve
  • cinnamon sugar, for serving

Cooking Instructions

  1. Combine the water and almond milk powder in a small saucepan. Simmer then add the quinoa.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon stick.
  4. Cook for a further 5 minutes, then serve with poached fruit and cinnamon sugar.
