Chocolate pudding with Creme Anglaise

Ingredients
- 1 cup full cream milk
- 1/2 vanilla pod
- 3 egg yolks
- 85 g castor sugar, plus extra for dipping the pastry shapes
- A pinch salt
- 1 Woolworths self-saucing chocolate pudding kit

Cooking Instructions
- To make the creme anglaise, bring the milk and vanilla pod to a boil in a small saucepan.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar and salt.
- When the milk has reached boiling point, slowly whisk it into the egg yolk mixture to temper the eggs.
- Pour the custard back into the saucepan and over low heat, allow to cook whilst continuously stirring until thickened.
- When the custard is cooked, pour through a sieve and refrigerate until cool.
- To make the pudding, mix according to package instructions (both pudding and sauce) then bake in a pre-heated oven.
- When the pudding is baked, pour over the sauce and serve immediately with the creme anglaise.
