Crostini with bacon & strawberries
The combination of smoky bacon, sweet strawberries and creamy goat's cheese make for a simple but decadent start to dinner.

Ingredients
- 1 ciabatta loaf, toasted, for serving
- 3 Tbsp olive oil, to drizzle
- sea salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 250 g streaky bacon, parcooked
- 100 g goat's cheese, crumbled
- 200 g strawberries, chopped
- 2 Tbsp balsamic crema
- mint

Cooking Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Thinly slice the ciabatta lengthways using a serrated knife. Arrange the slices on a baking tray, brush both sides with olive oil and season. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes, or until crispy and toasted.
- Heat a frying pan over a high heat and fry the bacon until crispy.
- Serve the crostini with the bacon, goat’s cheese, strawberries and balsamic cream. Garnish with mint or coriander microgreens.
