Spaghetti Bolognese
Ingredients
- 1 kg Lean beef mince
- Spaghetti
- Tomato and basil sauce
- grated hard cheese

Cooking Instructions
- Heat 1 T of olive oil in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. And add 1 onion and sauté for 5 minutes until translucent and add garlic (optional extra and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring often until the onions are brown.
- Add the lean beef mince and cook down for 5 minutes, stirring often.
- Add the pasta sauce and bring the mixture to a simmer with the lid on. Cook for 20 minutes or until the mince is done. Make sure to give the sauce a stir every 10 minutes. Once ready, season to taste.
- While the sauce is cooking, prepare the spaghetti as per packaging instructions in salted water. Once ready, drain and set aside. Drizzle the olive oil over the spaghetti so that it doesn't stick together.
- Serve the spaghetti topped with the beef mince sauce, sprinkled with grated hard cheese and garnished with fresh basil (optional extra).
