You might wonder why the provenance of your cheese should matter. Would a Roquefort by any other region taste as rich, creamy and sharp?

The origin of your cheese does not only tell you where it comes from, but also, how it was made. In many cases, region- specific cheese (like Parmigiano Reggiano) is made with time honoured methods of production that do not always apply when the cheese in manufactured in other regions.

Even though food innovation is growing rapidly, heritage and provenance continue to be very important if you are looking for authentic flavour. Our wide range of speciality cheese is sourced from the following regions around the world.

  • SOUTH AFRICA

The local cheese-making industry has grown considerably over the last decade, these days an award-winning South African cheese is not difficult to find.

The industry has seen a major transformation from a limited range to the rise of award winning artisanal cheeses.
