Choosing wines for a dinner party

I’m not really a wine drinker myself, so I get a bit stuck when buying wines for dinner parties I’m hosting. What would you suggest I have on hand to appeal to all palates?

I’d have a white and a red on hand. For the white, you could serve a sauvignon blanc – the Woolworths Longmarket Sauvignon Blanc is a good option. And then for red, choose the Woolworths Merlot. These are both easy-drinking wines that have wide appeal.
