Winemaker Conrad Vlok is renowned for reflecting the extreme local climate in his wines. When he isn't making wine, he can be found trekking in the veld or kayaking in the icy Atlantic just nine kilometres from the winery.
Conrad is a specialist in Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, while Pinot Noir, Grenache and Shiraz are the red varietals he is most passionate about. His First Sighting Shiraz is an everyday. medium-bodied wine with spicy pepper and savoury aromas, layered with vibrant red berry fruit. We recommend it with steak, your favourite pizza, meaty pastas and beef stews.
