So, what's the big deal about Angus?

Angus beef is a specific breed of cattle that offers a degree of marbling that provides great flavour and tenderness.

Not only are these cattle raised by locally by trusted South African farmers – they are raised responsibly, with no growth stimulants or routine antibiotics.

What does purebred Angus mean?

An animal can only be called purebred if they are at least a fourth generation animal bred from the same breed.

Are the animals bred locally?

Yes, the Angus animals are grown in only 3 locations across the country, and we have a working relationship with each of these farms.

The Angus animals used for Woolworths are grown in only 3 locations across the country, and we have a relationship with each of these farms, to bring you quality meat you can trust.
