Seatbelts Save Lives
More Reasons To Buckle Up
- On impact, your child won’t get flung out of their seat.
- It reduces the risk of them being thrown forward and hitting the steering wheel, dashboard or front seat.
- It prevents your child from hitting and hurting other passengers.
- They reduce the risk of internal injury.
Know The Facts
Forward VS Rear Facing Car Seats
If your baby weighs up to 13 kg, and is younger than 1, they should be in a rear facing car seat. Never place an infant car seat on the front seat, especially if there’s a passenger airbag.
A forward facing seat is perfect if your little one weighs between 9 and 18 kg or is between 9 months and 4 years old. Forward facing seats can be used until your child grows too tall for the height of the adjustable harness.
Considering a Booster Seat?
Booster Cushions
Use booster cushions when your child is slightly older – between 6 and 12, and weighs between 22 and 36 kg. Booster cushions don’t have harnesses, which is why an adult seatbelt must be used and adjusted correctly.
