Milestones (4-6 months)
Month 4
Most babies should be able to:
- Hold up their head at a 90 degree angle while lying on the stomach.
- Goo and coo when you talk.
- Bear weight on both legs.
Some babies may be able to:
- Grasp a rattle or small toy.
- Reach out for objects.
- Roll over.
Month 5
Most babies should be able to:
- Roll over.
- Do mini push-ups.
- Reach out for objects and grasp a rattle or small toy.
Some babies may be able to:
- Hold their head level with their body when pulled up to sit.
- Recognize their name.
Month 6
Most babies should be able to:
- Keep their head level when pulled up to a sitting position.
- Sit briefly with minimal support.
- Imitate sounds and facial expressions.
- Roll back in forth in both directions.
Some babies may be able to:
- Pull themselves up to a standing position from sitting.
- Repeat sounds like ma-ma-ma-ma or da-da-da-da.
