Duvet Buying Guide

Your bedroom is your sanctuary; your home within a home. And your choice in bedding can often mean the difference between a peaceful sleep and a restless night. This guide will help you to choose the best to suit your bedding needs. 

LABEL TERMS EXPLAINED
TC = threadcount (generally, the higher the threadcount, the better quality linen it is)
TOG = thermal resistance (the higher the tog value the better suited the duvet for colder nights. Low tog values are best for summer nights)

  1. BEFORE YOU SHOP

    Before you shop, find out what size bedding you'll need. Is your bed a King, Queen, Double or Single? And then look at what prints and patterns you like.   2. DUVETS AND LINEN: READING THE LABEL

    Basic comfort: 144 TC: Polycotton - This is a durable 50/50 blend of cotton and polyester (an easy care option).
    Soft blend: 180 TC: Polycottom Percale - A blend of fine-combed cotton and polyester, offering softness and comfort.
    Natural comfort: 200TC: Pure Cotton - Cool and natural, this bed linen is made from the purest cotton yarn.
    Extravagant:     400 TC: Pure Cotton - Made from Egyptian cotton, this finely-woven fabric is wonderfully soft.

  3. DUVET INNERS: READING THE LABEL

    Summer: 4 Tog: 100% Cotton Pure - Naturally breathable so you stay cool & comfortable on warm nights.
    Anti Allergy: 6 Tog, 8 Tog: Anti-Allergy - Ideal for dust mites allergies and filled with lightweight polyester.
    Winter: 11 Tog: Down Feather Duvet - Box-stitched duck feathers to keep you warm at night.
    All season: 13 Tog (5 + 8): Two separate duvets: 5-Tog summer duvet and 8-Tog winter duvet.

    Winter flannel: This fabric is made from 100% cotton and has been brushed to give added warmth and softness.
