15 -22 MARCH IS NATIONAL WATER WEEK WITH WORLD WATER DAY ON 22 MARCH.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, it became more vital than ever to wash our hands regularly to help curb the spread. But how can learners stay safe without access to water? Together with the MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet Programme, we started the WOOLIES WATER FUND to raise funds and give schools sustainable access to clean water. We did so by installing rainwater tanks in 50 schools across 4 provinces, as well as installing handwashing stations at 24 schools. We also upgraded their borehole pumps and filtration systems to benefit the entire community. But we’re not done.
