The Holly is an evergreen shrub or small tree with simple, alternate, glossy leaves that have a spiny leaf margin. The inconspicuous flowers are greenish-white with four petals. The small fruits of the Ilex, although often referred to as berries, are technically drupes.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Keep soil moist but do not overwater. 
• After Christmas plant it in a pot outdoors.
• Berries are ornamental.
