Dahlias are colourful plants that can reach heights of 20 – 180 cm. They make beautiful border plants and can bring colour to your home by cutting the blooms and placing them in vases. 


HOW TO USE

• Dahlia requires well-draining soil; you can apply mulch to the top of the soil to keep the moisture in. 
• The plant prefers heat so it needs to be planted in full sun
• When planting, the bulbs must be placed 15 – 40 cm apart at a depth of 8 cm
• When planting, ensure the tubers are pointed down. Water the plant deeply every three days.
• Regularly pruning will promote the growth of the blooms. 
• Plant during September – December months
• Flowers from December through to March.
