Heart-shaped pasta for Mother’s Day

Ingredients

  • 1 x 250 g pack Parmigiano Reggiano Heart Shaped Pasta
  • 1 x pack of Woolworths pancetta
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 cup cream
  • Zest of 1 lemon and lemon to squeeze over
  • Woolworths Frozen Petits Pois Peas, to serve
  • 1 x 60g tub Woolworths Grated Parmigiano Reggiano

Cooking Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
  2. Fry the garlic in butter or olive oil until golden, then add the cream, a handful of the grated cheese, and season to taste.
  3. Meanwhile, fry the pancetta until crispy. Instead of pancetta, you could also add smoked flaked trout or Hot Smoked Norwegian Trout bites, warmed to package instructions. 
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the creamy sauce and stir through. 
  5. Dish the pasta onto a plate and top with steamed petit pois and pancetta bits or flaked trout. Sprinkle with lemon zest, add a splash of lemon juice and a drizzle of olive oil and enjoy!
