Marinating tips:
1 The key with marinating, is time – don’t marinate your meat for 20 minutes and expect it to be popping with flavour. You need at least an hour for the flavours to infuse, preferably more – even overnight in the fridge!
2 Place the meat and marinade in a (reusable) plastic bag so that you can turn the bag after a while and ensure an equal distribution of the sauce.
3 Keep basting as you grill, especially when you’re cooking on the braai: add more marinade from the bottle as you go, to impart optimum flavour.

  1. Place the chicken into the marinade bag and allow to stand for 1 hour, or even better, overnight.
  2. Heat a griddle pan on the stove. Cook the chicken breasts on either side for 3 minutes, then finish the cooking process in the oven for 8 minutes on 180°C. If cooking on the braai, continue until cooked through. Baste with the marinade while braaing.
  3. Serve with Woolworths Herb Salad tossed with sliced radish, exotic tomatoes and shaved carrot, dressed with readymade dressing – we love the basil and white balsamic dressing
