Peanut butter and chocolate pudding

Chocolate + peanut butter = the tastiest pudding!

Cook's Tips:Pretty much everyone loves a traditional chocolate pudding and no one will complain about peanut butter as an extra. The salty nuttiness takes this childhood favourite to a whole new level.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Woolworths Fresh Full Cream Milk
  • 160 g Woolworths Salted Butter, melted
  • 2 Free Range Large Eggs
  • 280 g Woolworths Self Raising Wheat Flour
  • 4 T Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 200 g Castor Sugar
  • 100 g Lindt Excellence 70% Dark Chocolate, chopped
  • For the peanut butter filling:
  • 80 g Woolworths Salted Butter, melted
  • 85 g Woolworths Icing Sugar
  • 250 g Woolworths No Added Salt & Sugar Peanut Butter
  • Salt, a pinch
  • 1 t Woolworths Vanilla Essence

Cooking Instructions

Chocolate and peanut butter is a match made in heaven – and now you can enjoy this iconic duo with this mouth-watering pudding!

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C and grease a 30 cm x 20 cm oval ovenproof dish and dust with cocoa powder. Lightly whisk together the milk, butter and eggs. 
  2. In another bowl, sift together the flour and cocoa, then stir in the sugar. Slowly add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients, beating until smooth. Fold through the chopped chocolate and pour into the dish.

To make the peanut butter filling:

  1. Beat the butter, icing sugar, peanut butter, salt and vanilla until smooth and glossy. Dollop three-quarters of the peanut butter filling onto the chocolate pudding mixture and swirl to create a marbled effect. Bake for 30 – 40 minutes, or until set.
  2. Heat the remaining peanut butter mixture in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until slightly runny, and serve with the warm pudding with extra melted chocolate if you like. Top with the crushed peanuts.
