Tasty organic prawn skewers

Because sometimes you need to raise your braai game
In the mood for a braai, but not your standard chops and wors? These tasty braaied prawn skewers are so easy to make and really deliver in the flavour department.

Ingredients

  • 320 g Woolworths Frozen Organic Large Black Tiger Prawns, thawed
  • 200 ml sweet chilli sauce
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • 300 g Woolworths Rainbow Slaw
  • 100 g Woolworths Asian Dressing
  • 200 g sugar snap peas
  • Red chilli, sliced, for serving
  • 4 tortilla wraps charred on the braai
  • Mayonnaise, for serving

Cooking Instructions

  1. To prepare the prawns, remove the heads, devein and remove the shells, but keep the tails on. Toss the cleaned prawns in half the sweet chilli sauce and season with salt.
  2. Thread the prawns onto skewers and cook on a hot braai for 2-3 minutes on each side until caramelized and sticky. 
  3. Toss the Asian dressing through the rainbow slaw. 
  4. Cook the sugar snap peas in a little sweet chilli sauce over high heat for 1-2 minutes, or until they catch slightly but remain a vibrant green. 
  5. Serve the prawns with the Asian-dressed slaw, sugar snap peas, tortilla wraps, and a smear of tangy mayo.
