Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients

  • grated hard cheese
  • grated mozzarella
  • Everyday linguine
  • Italian herbs
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Whole peeled tomatoes in tomato juice
  • Plant-based bolognaise sauce
  • Lean beef mince 1kg
  • Napoletana pasta sauce
  • 30ml Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 2 Garlic cloves, crushed
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. Heat a large saucepan over a medium heat.
  2. Add 15 ml olive oil, onions, garlic to the saucepan and fry gently for 5-6 minutes, or until softened and the onions are translucent.
  3. Add the rest of the olive oil, the beef mince and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook the mince until well browned over a medium-high heat.
  4. Add the pasta sauce to the mince, give it a good mix and allow the Bolognese to simmer gentle on a low heat; season to taste.
  5.  Meanwhile heat a large saucepan of water and add a generous pinch of salt. Cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions.
  6. Once the spaghetti is cooked through, drain and add to the pan with the bolognese sauce.
  7. Mix well and serve with grated hard cheese.
