Sriracha ginger glazed chicken wings

Serves:4-6

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Free range chicken wings
  • 2 fresh limes cut into wedges
  • Super sour Sriracha hot chilli sauce
  • 4 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp sesame oil
  • organic olive oil, for drizzling
  • 2 Tbsp lemon, juiced
  • 4 cloves whole garlic, peeled
  • 3 Tbsp fresh ginger, finely grated

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. Blend the ingredients for the glaze in a food processor until they form a thick sauce.
  3. Combine the glaze with the chicken wings in a large bowl and mix well.
  4. Spread the chicken wings in a single layer in a roasting pan or on skewers to cook on the braai.
  5. Bake or braai for 25 minutes, turning the chicken wings every so often to ensure they caramelise evenly.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve warm with lime wedges.
