Blue cheese and bacon beer bread
Ingredients
- 4 spring onions, chopped
- 30 g parsley, chopped
- 125 g streaky bacon, chopped and fried
- 100 g blue cheese, crumbled
- water
- 340 ml beer
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 500 g Self raising flour

Cooking Instructions
- Grease a loaf tin.
- Mix flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Stir in the beer and add a little water if the dough is to dry.
- Mix in the blue cheese, cooked bacon, parsley and spring onions.
- Transfer the dough to the loaf tin and bake for about 90 minutes.
- Test with a skewer after about one hour when the top is golden brown - if the skewer comes out clean, remove from the oven and cool slightly before serving with butter and soup
