Maple glazed pork chops

Serving Suggestion:Enjoy with celeriac and pecorino mash, garnished with fresh basil.

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork loin chops
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • salt
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil, to drizzle
  • 4 Tbsp wholegrain mustard
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lime, juiced
  • 2 Tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 6 Tbsp maple syrup

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 °C.
  2. Combine the maple syrup, orange juice, lime juice and mustard in a saucepan over a medium heat.
  3. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until the mixture is syrupy.
  4. Coat the pork chops with oil and season with the salt and pepper.
  5. Fry the chops for 5 minutes in another pan on a medium-high heat or until browned.
  6. Transfer the chops to a roasting dish and pour the glaze over them.
  7. Bake the chops for 10 minutes until the glaze has become sticky.
