Pasta puttanesca

Ingredients

  • 400 g Spaghetti
  • 1 tsp Garlic, minced
  • 375 ml Roasted vegetable pasta sauce
  • 6 White marinated anchovy fillets
  • 70 g Black Kalamata and Green Treated Olives
  • 12 Non-Pareilles Capers in Wine Vinegar
  • 100 g South African Grated Medium Fat Hard Cheese
  • Garlic bread

Cooking Instructions

 

  1. Cook the spaghetti in boiling water for 10 minutes or until al dente, then drain.
  2. While the pasta is cooling, heat the olive oil in a saucepan. Add the garlic and stir for 30 seconds over a medium heat. 
  3. Add the remaining ingredients except the cheese and seasoning. Simmer for 8 minutes. Check the seasoning - the anchovies will add saltiness.
  4. Serve with pasta, Parmesan and garlic bread.
