Beef steak and truffled mushrooms

Serves:4

Ingredients

  • Turci garlic spray, to taste
  • butter for cooking
  • 8 sprays Turci Truffle spray
  • 1 punnet wild mushrooms, pulled apart
  • 1 punnet brown mushrooms, cut into 8ths
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • olive oil
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • salt to taste
  • 4 x 200 g beef rump steaks

Cooking Instructions

  1. Season the steaks with salt and pepper and cook over high heat with olive oil in a non-stick frying pan.
  2. Cook for 4 minutes a side or until desired doneness.
  3. Remove from the pan and spray with the Turci Garlic Spray then cover in tin foil.
  4. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

To make the truffled mushrooms: 

  1. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large non-stick frying pan.
  2. Add the onions and cook for 4 minutes. Add the mushrooms and cook for a further 7 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and spray with the Turci Truffle Spray.
  4. Slice the steak and top with the mushrooms.
