Self-saucing spiced chocolate
Ingredients
- cups hot water
- 4 tbs cocoa powder
- 3/4 cups brown sugar
- 150 g fresh cherries, halved and pitted
- 1 pkt Woorlworths cherry liqueur chocolates
- 2 tbs melted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup castor sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup flour

Cooking Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180C.
- In a bowl sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, cocoa and spices
- Stir in milk, melted butter then fold in the chocolates and cherries.
- Spread in a deep greased ovenproof dish.
- Mix together the brown sugar and cocoa powder, then sprinkle over the batter.
- Pour the hot water over the batter, then bake for 45 minutes at 180 degrees.
- Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream
