Rump steak on oak braai planks

Ingredients

  • 4 200g beef rump steaks
  • 50 g butter
  • 1-2 tsp hot English mustard
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 lemon, cut into 8 slices for garnishing
  • 2 tsp sea salt, plus extra to taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients for the butter, roll into a cylinder, cover with clingfilm and refrigerate.
  2. Place a water-soaked braai plank on the open flames. When it starts to smoke, place the rump on the planks and brown on both sides. 
  3. Place a knob of mustard butter on each steak and allow to melt.
