Carni Corn Dogs
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp woolworths spicy salsa
- fresh coriander
- jalapeno chillies, sliced
- mozzarella slices
- oil, for deep frying
- 250 g woolworths bockwurst
- 200 ml milk
- 2 free range eggs
- salt, to taste
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 130 g cake flour
- 150 g polenta

Cooking Instructions
For the batter:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine polenta, cake flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
- In a separate bowl whisk together one egg and the milk
- Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients
- Stir to combine into a thick batter
For the corn dogs:
- Heat oil for deep-frying
- Skewer the Bockwurst onto metal skewers
- Pour the batter into a tall glass
- Dip skewered sausages into the batter and coat well
- Deep-fry sausages in hot oil
- Remove once golden and crisp
- Place on kitchen paper to drain excess oil
- Leave to cool slightly then wrap sliced cheese around the corn dog to melt
- Serve with salsa, jalapeno and coriander
