Spring dressing and quintessential wardrobe essentials
The travel, food & lifestyle influencer shares his tips on spring dressing and the quintessential styles you need in your wardrobe.
Now that florals for spring have become rather passé, the focus is firmly on natural fabrics and traditional craftsmanship. Few brands showcase this artisanal approach better than the more understated, fashionably pared down aesthetic of Trenery, especially the latest SS17 - It is like going back to basics all the while remaining vividly current.
This seasons organic-feel and natural textures lend themselves to versatility, a plus for someone constantly on the move like myself, while the soft enveloping linens keep you cool and breezy. The relaxed fit is underpinned by precise tailoring to accentuate statue and silhouette without being too confining.
Throw in a tie and you’ve a formal look, change it up with a t-shirt and you’re the most tastefully dressed gent ready for a party on a yacht. The linen suit has long been part of summer, but never before has it been a must-have for my wardrobe until this cut.
The neutral and stoney colour palette is a Trenery staple and really part of what keeps me coming back each summer and this time around with a more tailored fit linen suits are no longer ensembles relegated to wedding parties.
The petrol blue shorts, a colour most men over 20 would shy away from, are one of my favourite items to style. Styled impeccably with muted colours and clean lines, the shorts become the star of the outfit without screaming for attention making it one of the most wearable pieces off the new arrivals.
