Meet Neo Dulaze. One half of the brother-sister duo looking to enhance your living experience with Berry Homeware. Conceptualised amidst the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic, Neo and her brother Katleho Mchalla, decided to turn their love and passion for design and interiors into a brand that can be enjoyed by each person who purchases a Berry Homeware product.
Hailing from Gauteng on Blueberry Road, which inspired the brand's name, Neo and Katleho started their Berry journey with a collection of scents. From there, and with a firm understanding that they would be creating long-lasting, unique and environmentally friendly products, Neo and Katleho extended their range to include art pieces, home décor and table linen sets.
For Neo and Katleho, the Woolies Youth Makers Programme has been an enlightening and enriching experience. The duo shares the lessons learned from their mentors have sharpened their perspective and enhanced their business decision-making skills in invaluable ways. With the knowledge gained through the programme, Neo and Katleho are looking to establish themselves as leaders and change drivers in the retail space.
As a 100% black-owned business with a majority stake held by women and youth, the duo hopes to advance youth-led businesses in South Africa by passing on what they’ve learned through their journey as entrepreneurs. Thereby supporting and uplifting those who come after them.
