2 delicious new ways to drink hot chocolate

One of our favourite things about winter is the milky warm drinks you’re allowed (practically mandated) to make. And now, let us present you with the Dalgona hot chocolate and a white choc affogato! (We’re not even kidding.)

1. The Dalgona dark hot chocolate

For Dalgona coffee froth:

  • Woolworths Instant Gold Coffee 2 T
  • Castor sugar 2 T
  • Just boiled water 2 T
  • Whisk with a hand whisk or hand whisk blender until super thick and creamy, about 3–5 minutes. 

For the hot chocolate:

  • Woolworths Indulgent Dark Chocolate Powder 4 T
  • 2 cups warm frothy milk
  • Add the Woolworths Indulgent Dark Hot Chocolate Powder to a glass or cup with a little warm milk and stir to make a paste.
  • Top up with more warm, frothy milk. Add a generous spoonful of the Dalgona foam onto each glass of hot chocolate.
  • Dust with a bit of hot chocolate powder and enjoy with your favourite biscuit, like Woolworths Almond Biscotti.

2. The white chocolate affogato

  • Woolworths Indulgent White Chocolate Powder 4 T
  • 2 cups warm frothy milk
  • 2-4 scoops Woolworths Dark Belgium Chocolate Ice Cream
  • Combine the white chocolate powder with the warm milk.
  • Add one or two dark chocolate ice cream scoops into 2 small bowls, pour over your white chocolate, sprinkle over crushed chocolate ripple bars and enjoy the yumminess.
