Lemon and lime garlic prawns with sweet and spicy mango salsa

This is the easiest way to make a delicious prawn dish! Infused with all our favourite flavours – garlic, lime and a refreshing mango salsa!

Lemon and lime garlic prawns with sweet and spicy mango salsa:

Ingredients:

For the salsa:

  • 1 Woolworths mango, peeled and cut into chunks
  • ½ small red onion, thinly sliced into petals
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced into rings
  • 1 lime, zest and juiced
  • 2 T mint, thinly sliced
  • 2 T coriander, fresh chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • For the prawns:

  • 500g Woolworths Freshly Frozen Uncooked Extra Large Black Tiger Prawns, deveined
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 T olive oil
  • 1 lime, zested and juiced
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 1 T garlic, finely chopped or grated

Cooking instructions:

  1. Make the salsa by adding the mango to a mixing bowl along with the red onion, jalapeño, lime zest and juice. Finish with mint, coriander and a little salt to season. Set aside.
  2. To prepare the prawns, season them lightly with salt and set aside to marinade for 10 minutes. In a mixing bowl combine, olive oil, lime zest and juice, lemon zest, garlic and salt to taste.
  3. Skewer the prawns and place over high heat coals, once the shells turn a bright orange turn over and cook the other side. Begin basting the prawns with the citrusy mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated.
  4. Once the prawns are perfectly braaied serve them on a platter with the salsa on the side.
