Left-over gammon burgers
Here’s what to make with your left-over Christmas gammon. Hint: it’s delicious!
Left-over gammon buns:

Serves: 4 Preparation time: 5 minutes Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 Woolworths Amagwinya Vetkoek
- 350 g leftover gammon, sliced
- 4 T Canola Oil
- 4 slices Woolworths Emmental Cheese slices
- 2 T wholegrain mustard
- 4 T Woolworths Onion Marmalade
- 150 g Woolworths Sweet & Sour Gherkins, sliced
Cooking instructions:
- Heat a pan over a medium heat. Toast the amagwinya in the butter until golden and crisp.
- Add some oil to the pan and crisp up the gammon slices by cooking them in batches. The fat side should turn crisp and slightly charred before topping with the cheese sliced. Allow the cheese to melt before removing it from the pan.
- While the cheese is melting add some mustard to the bottom halves of the buns followed by some pickles. Add some of the cheesy, crisp gammon, then add some onion marmalade to the top of the bun before completing the assembly. Serve immediately.
