Try these 2 spectacular wine spritzers
Make no mistake, wine spritzers are back in favour. We’ve tried our hand at some, and these might just be our new favourite summer drinks! And to top it off, we used Woolies boxed wine!
1. Elderflower spritz
Makes 2
Ingredients:
- ½ cup soda or sparkling water
- 2 T Woolworths Elderflower syrup
- 1 ½ cups Woolworths Organic White box wine
- Ice
- Cucumber, to garnish
- Woolworths edible flowers, to garnish
Instructions:
- Add 1 T Elderflower syrup to each glass, plus ¾ cup white wine, ice and cucumber slices. Top each glass with ¼ soda or sparkling water to finish.
2. Rosé spritz
Makes 2
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Woolworths Natural Sweet Rosé wine
- ½ cup sparkling water
- Ice
- Grapefruit wedges, to garnish
- Fennel or celery shavings, to garnish
- Woolworths edible flowers, to garnish
Instructions:
- To each (big) glass, add 1 cup Woolworths Rosé box wine, ice and ruby grapefruit wedges. Top each glass with ¼ cup of sparkling water and enjoy!
Wine lollies:
Take a lolly mould and fill halfway with dry box wine. Freeze for 6 hours (or until solid), then top with dry white box wine (first freeze and second freeze both dry white box wine?). Place a lolly stick in the mould and freeze again. Use as the ultimate spritzer garnish.
