Surf Riders Food Shack
Located on a popular Durban running and cycling route, this buzzing spot is the perfect choice for a leisurely post-run brekkie – the poached eggs breakfasts (particularly the avo benedict with salmon) are firm favourites. And it’s dog-friendly!
Nouriti (Umhlanga)
This health-conscious café is actually located in a gym, so it makes getting your dose of exercise all the easier. Find a seat outside in the sun and dig into one of their power bowls or signature ‘fitness meals’.

Breakaway Café
As part of bike rental-company, this Cape Town city bowl café is all about getting active. Pop in for some really good coffee, an early-bird breakfast or a delicious smoothie.

This café, based in trendy Woodstock, is aimed at the cyclist (you can get your bike tuned here), but anyone’s welcome.
