Dazzling dessert decorations
With a hot summer like ours on the horizon, no-one wants to spend hours in the kitchen, slaving away over festive desserts. Opt for our gorgeous and easy-to-use decorating kit and customise any sweet treat – ice cream, sponge cake, trifle or even pavlova – like a pro.
Perfectly decorated pavlova:
Preheat the oven to 130°C. Place a sheet of wax paper over a baking tray. Beat 8 free range egg whites until just stiff, with shiny peaks. Gradually add 500g caster sugar, a few tablespoons at a time, beating until stiff and glossy. Whisk in 2 teaspoons cream of tartar. Spoon the egg whites onto the wax paper in large dollops to make a circle. Bake for 1½ hours, then turn off the oven and leave the meringue inside until completely cool. Top the pavlova with 1 cup of whipped cream. Now get out that decorating kit and go wild with the blueberries, toasted coconut, raspberries, pomegranate rubies and edible flowers. Dust with icing sugar and serve. This nifty decorating kit will be available in stores from 18 December.
