3 ways to level up your soup
Celebrate the arrival of soup weather by playing around with delicious trimmings & toppings for readymade soup. We’re talking cheesy nachos, crispy mushrooms, creamy yoghurt and fresh coconut – the possibilities are endless.
1. Luxury mushroom soup with a twist
(For your next dinner party.) Heat Woolworths Luxury Mushroom Soup in a saucepan over medium heat. In the mean time, make a tempura batter with Woolworths Tempura Flour and 1–2 cups ice water (according to the package instructions). Whisk until the batter is lump-free and not too thick. Slice up exotic mushrooms and dip into the batter, then fry in hot vegetable oil until pale and golden. Scoop the mushroom soup into individual bowls, add to each bowl some of the fried mushrooms, a swirl of smokey chilli oil, black sesame seeds and micro herbs.
2. Brilliant butter chicken soup
(For your hearty midweek meal.) Slowly heat butter chicken soup in a saucepan. Meanwhile, toast naan bread in a pan until golden brown and brush on either side with atchar. Serve warm with the soup, top the soup with dollops of plain yoghurt, fresh coconut, sliced red chillies, fresh coriander and crispy onion bits. Dig in!
3. Magical Mexican beef & corn soup
(For that unexpected Saturday night fiesta.) Serve the delicious new Mexican pulled beef & corn soup with cheesy baked nachos, pink onion petals, sliced spring onion, fresh lime and micro herbs. Get it while it’s hot!
