Coffee regions and their flavours
From the high slopes of the Ethiopian Highlands to the majestic Andes, our coffees are sourced for the finest quality and taste, where high elevations and lush soil deliver premium coffee that’s full of flavour. Here are some of the main coffee regions and the flavour blends you can expect.
Africa
Tanzania
Tanzanian coffee is bright and vibrant, with a deep, rich and strong taste. Typically with a medium to full body that’s intense and creamy, each cup has a wine-like acidity with sweet berry-like fruity flavours and hints of chocolate.
Ethiopia
Ethiopian coffee is known for its spice and wine or chocolate-like taste and floral aroma. The most distinctive flavour notes found are lemon and citrus notes with bright, crisp acidity.
South America
South American coffee is slight fruity, nutty with a bittersweet chocolate taste and a low acidity.
Colombian Decaf
A medium-bodied, sweet tasting coffee with a rich flavour and fruity aromas, and a slight spicy and a pleasant woody finish.
Central America
With varying acidity, coffee beans from this region are known for being well-balanced. Not too bitter, not too acidic with fairly smooth flavours and hints of chocolate.
Guatemala
Coffees grown in Guatemala usually have a full or medium body, with rich floral and spicy flavours and a hint of chocolate.
