Love local wine

With Heritage Day on the 24th of September and we’re loving all things local this month. Did you know that over 90% of our wine range is sourced locally?

While we do stock a selected range of international wines, we strive to source only the best, most sought after local wines. This month we’ve paid special attention to the Raats Wine Estate.

Raats Family Wines excel at crafting exceptional wines. Their Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc are passionately produced and truly distinctive in flavour. Bruwer Raats, chief winemaker says, "The best viticultural soil for Chenin Blanc in all the land is undoubtedly located in and around Stellenbosch. We source from vines on average 25 years old, grown 250m above sea level - perfect!" All grapes are handpicked and wines made with his extensive knowledge and attention to detail. The result is a truly unique showcase for South African wine and soil.

We have worked with Bruwer to bring you 2 exclusive wines:

Granite Blocks Cabernet Franc
Granite Blocks Chenin Blanc

Bruwer Raats fascination for, and dedication to the identification of the perfect vineyard locations has inspired a range of wines named after the soil type on which the best grapes are grown. Individually crafted from unique vineyard parcels, Granite Blocks wines express great purity of fruit and balanced elegance.
