HELP OUR RHINO

More than 75% of all the rhino in the world are found in South Africa. Unfortunately, all the rhino in the world only adds up to about 25 000: 5000 Black Rhino and 20 000 White Rhino. 

In 2013 alone, over 600 rhino have been killed by poachers for their horns. But with your help, since the launch of our first rhino bag in 2010, we’ve managed to raise over R1.7 million for rhino conservation.

There are a number of ways that you can help us in our on-going support of rhino conservation

1. Buy a rhino shopping bag

For every one of our latest limited edition rhino bag sold, R10 (Vat inclusive) will be donated to the Wildlife ACT Fund to support their work implementing WWF-South Africa's Black Rhino Range Expansion project and the Wildlife ACTive Kids project, an environment-focused education program for children in communities who live close to Rhinos.

These reusable bags are made by a small local enterprise, Isikhwama, and will be available for R29.95 until stock lasts.

2. Buy a rhino T-shirt

For every one of our limited edition range of men’s rhino T-shirts sold, R10 (Vat inclusive) will go towards WWF-SA’s conservation efforts. These T-shirts will be arriving soon in selected stores* and online until stock last.

3. Buy ‘Every Paw Print Counts’

Our “Every Paw Print Counts” sweets, bracelets and shopping bags support three of our endangered animals – Rhino, Cheetah and the Wild Dog. For every item you buy, a donation will be made to the EWT MyPlanet Rhino Fund or Wildlife ACT Fund.

4. Sign up for a MyPlanet card

You can help raise additional funds for rhino conservation by signing up for a MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet and choosing the ‘EWT MyPlanet Rhino Fund’ as your beneficiary.
