Braaied pepper crusted beef fillet with garlic bread

While the steak is resting, throw together this easy braaied garlic loaf. The more flavour you can stuff into the ciabatta, the better!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1.5 kg Woolworths Pepper Crusted Beef Fillet 
  • ¼ cup olive oil 
  • 1 loaf ciabatta 
  • 6 cloves garlic, chopped 
  • 100 g butter, at room temperature 
  • 30 g parsley 

METHOD:

  1. Brush the fillet with olive oil, then braai over medium coals for 20–25 minutes, turning often cook it evenly. 
  2. When the fillet is cooked, rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
  3. To make the garlic bread, slice the ciabatta thickly and stuff with the garlic, butter and parsley. Season the bread, drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil. Place in medium coals for 10–15 minutes. 
  4. Serve the sliced fillet with the garlic bread. 

Cook’s note: Use the leftover beef for dinner the next night: top with Woolies Mushroom Sauce and serve with roast potatoes and vegetables.
