Sliced Smoked Gammon
There’s more to gammon than a festive centrepiece! Pre-sliced gammon shines beyond the big day and makes a fantastic addition to your favourite Alfredo.

Gammon Alfredo
Serves: 4 to 6

Ingredients:
- 3 T olive oil
 - 3 leeks, chopped
 - 4 garlic cloves, crushed
 - 4 brown mushrooms, chopped
 - 2 T butter
 - 2 cups cream
 - 500 g Woolworths Ready to Eat Sliced Smoked Gammon, torn
 - 500 g pappardelle pasta, cooked as per packaging instructions
 - Salt and pepper, to taste
 - 50 g hard cheese, to serve
 
Cooking instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a heavy-based saucepan and fry the leeks and garlic over a medium heat until slightly caramelised. Add the mushrooms, butter and cream and reduce for 5 minutes.
 - Add the gammon and toss in the pasta.
 - Season and serve hot, sprinkled with hard cheese.
 
Cook’s note: No gammon? Crispy bacon or sandwich ham works just as well.
