Biltong jaffles – 3 ways

Makes 1 each
Cooking time: 5 minutes 

Ingredients:

For the Italian jaffle:

  • 2 slices Woolworths White Sandwich Bread
  • Woolworths Fresh Basil Pesto
  • Woolworths Grated Mozzarella Cheese
  • Woolworths Angus Beef Biltong Sliced Original
  • To serve; fresh basil 

For the South African jaffle:

  • 2 slices Woolworths White Sandwich Bread
  • Woolworths Hot Chakalaka
  • Woolworths Grated Mature Cheddar
  • Woolworths Free Range Chilli Beef Sliced Biltong
  • To serve, Mrs Ball’s chutney 

For the Mexican jaffle:

  • 2 slices Woolworths White Sandwich Bread
  • Woolworths Spicy Harissa Red Pepper Paste
  • Woolworths Grated Emmental Cheese
  • Woolworths Free Range Smoked Beef Biltong
  • Sliced jalapeños 
  • Woolworths Salsa Nacho Chips
  • To serve; sour cream and guacamole 

Cooking instructions:

  1. To assemble the jaffles, butter the outside of the bread as well as the jaffle maker. 
  2. Assemble the layers and close them up.  
  3. Place the jaffle in the jaffle iron and securely close. Place over a hot flame until golden and toasted. 
  4. Season and serve warm with a dip.
