The seafood platter gets fresh
This spring, step up your entertaining game with this fantastic seafood platter. From cheat’s blinis to DIY prawn crackers, everything on this plate is both delicious and absurdly easy to make. Deli fish for the win!
1. Make blinis like a pro.
Whip up a batch of blinis with Woolworths Flapjack Mix – just add milk, eggs and oil as the cooking instructions say. Place scoops of batter in a frying pan, sprinkle with sesame seeds and flip over when the bottoms are golden brown. Top each blini with a scoop of cream cheese and flaked pieces of Woolworths Hot Smoked Trout with Pepper & Dill. Finish with micro herbs and serve.
2. Quick & easy prawn crackers:
Top rice crackers with cream cheese or garlic aioli. Add pink pickled ginger for a splash of colour and a bite of tang, and top with cooked garlic & chilli prawns.
3. For a zingy calamari salad:
Toss Woolworths Baby Marrow Spaghetti with a squeeze of lemon and olive oil. Top with Cajun calamari and thin slices of radish.
4. Wrap it up:
For the beetroot dip, blend plain yoghurt with a dash of horseradish (to taste) and ½ cup of cooked beetroot until bright purple and smooth. Wrap oak smoked trout ribbons around breadsticks to dip into the beetroot.
