Best-ever bangers and mash

Bangers and mash is a classic flavour combo, but we’ve got a brilliant twist on this old favourite. Try it with our Italian-style sausages, easy-to-make mash and a pistachio pesto…all ready in less than 30 minutes. It’s the perfect quick-and-easy dinner to add to your weekly meal plan.

How to make Italian-style bangers and mash:

Fry the pork-and-herb bangers until golden brown. To make the pesto, combine 80 g basil, 2 crushed garlic cloves, 100 g shelled pistachios, ¾ cup olive oil, 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste) in a blender.

Blend until smooth. To make the mash, place 1 kg frozen mashed potato in a microwavable bowl, add 1 cup of milk and cover with clingwrap. Microwave until hot, then stir until smooth.

Serve the mash with the bangers, spooning over the pan juices. Add steamed Tenderstem® broccoli, drizzle with the pistachio pesto and voilà ! Enjoy with a red blend.
