Beauty masterclass: the no-make-up look

Summer has officially started and we know you’ll be hanging at the pool (or beach) most days. The no make-up look is the ideal way to stay glowy and natural without being bare-faced. Achieve this effortless look in four easy steps.
Step 1: Face
The key is to let your natural skin shine through, and not completely cover it up. A BB or CC cream will even out your skin tone and offer coverage without being as heavy as foundation. Cover up any blemishes or dark circles with a concealer and blend with a foundation brush.
Tip: you can set your foundation with a bit of powder, but be sure to shake off excess powder before applying as you don’t want to mattify your look.
Step 2: Cheeks
Give yourself a naturally flushed look with cream blush in peach or rose pink. Opt for cream over powder as it’ll blend into your BB cream and ensure a dewy finish. An optional extra is to add illuminator to the apples of your cheeks, tip of your nose and edge of your chin to give that ‘glow from within’ look.
Tip: Blue-based pink blush will be darker and look more severe so opt for softer tones.
Step 3: Eyes
The best way to look ‘put together’ without looking overdone is with a defined brow and curled lashes. Comb your eyebrows in place and then pencil in the gaps with quick upward movements so that it blends in with your eyebrows and looks natural.
Opt for waterproof mascara so you don’t need to worry about panda eyes every time you jump into the pool.
Tip: If you’re blonde or fair-skinned opt for a brown mascara for a more subdued look.
Step 4: Lips
The final step is to apply a subtle lip stain or tinted balm to give that just bitten look without being too overstated.
Tip: If you want to give your lips a plump then define your lips with a natural lip liner that blends into your lips before applying your lip colour.
